he global services market has been evolving rapidly across the past decades. Starting from Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) based on the usage of external vendors for performing some tasks for us, through Global Sourcing or Service Offshoring related to performing some tasks at some more cost- and performance- effective locations, in the same time optimizing processes and eliminating waste at their every turn. Real-time processing data ‘as-a-service’ at remote servers, enabled via cloud computing has given us the chance to build extensive engines and algorithms capable of analyzing massive amounts and types of data, in the same time deploying probabilistic methods of systems to enable ‘machines to learn’. All of that has brought us to the point when we are able to deploy software robots that are not only performing the most repetitive tasks that bring no value to humans, but also go beyond their capabilities, representing their essential amplification, chained in transparent and real-time available blocks. Enhanced by optical character recognition (OCR) and voice recognition, robots are now able to work at virtualized desktops and act as conversational partners in order to help find correct information and advise on the best solutions (chat/voice bots).
